Flow is the second solo album by German pianist and composer Daniel Bark. Eight flowing piano pieces are reminiscent of water and cloud movements, some meditative, some playful and virtuosic. Marvin Dillmann, a master of the didgeridoo, is a guest for two pieces.
For his first solo album, the pianist and improviser is inspired by water sounds and transfers them to the piano. Tones flow intuitively, swirl around each other, whisk together. With nuanced dynamics and virtuosic flowing arpeggios, he creates wide arcs of tension and makes the seven pieces an intoxicating listening experience.

Composer and improviser Daniel Bark performs his version of boundless expanses on the piano. His style moves fluidly between contemporary impressionism, free avantgarde and minimal music. With finely tuned sounds and rhythms, he develops simple themes into tension-filled improvisations. The primary tool of the sound artist is intuition. With this, he manages to touch the listener sensitively. He expands the tonal spectrum of the piano with preparations and self-developed electronic equipment.

The two artists are constantly inspired by the present and create powerful sound experiences. Bark's and Dillmann's desire is not only to present themselves to a broader audience but to share the moment with them. In doing so, the sounds of their instruments merge into an audible and palpable unity. Their musical improvisations ultimately defy linguistic descriptions and can only be experienced in their wholeness live.
